Great fund-raising weekend

Thank you everyone for working so hard to make last weekend so successful, especially to Judy Pegden who master-minded it all! Including gift-aided donations we raised over £1000,. A fantastic total! Enough for 40 Family Filters providing dafe drinking water to over 2500 people!

We are arranging a FREE showing of the BBC film

Roger Nsengiyumva was born in the Rwandan genocide of 1994 and only survived thanks to the raw courage of his mother. She bravely escaped with him to Britain after seeing her husband, Roger’s father, shot dead. This is the story of Roger’s return to Rwanda to find out whether he can share his mother’s remarkable willingness to forgive those who destroyed both their lives.

Illuminee, Roger’s mother, who lives in Norwich and features in the film, will be with us, as will Paul Dickson, who helped her write her book ‘Miracle in Kigali’ and who assisted in the making of the film.

 MONDAY 27TH OCTOBER at 7 30pm

You should find this really interesting – it gives us a personal slant on the Rwandan story. We hope you can come along.
